1. Who we are

BlueLanternStudio ("we", "us") is an independent studio that makes apps and games. These Terms apply to this website (bluelanternstudio.com) and to your general relationship with us. Each of our apps has its own terms and privacy policy, which apply when you use that app.

2. Acceptance of terms

By using this website you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

3. Our apps and games

Our apps and games are offered through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of an app is covered by that app's own terms, its privacy policy, and the store's terms. If those conflict with these Terms, the app's own terms win for that app.

4. Paid features and subscriptions

• Some of our apps may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. They are bought and billed through Apple or Google.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We can't issue refunds directly.

5. Your content and data

You keep ownership of anything you create or store in our apps. How each app handles your data is explained in that app's privacy policy. We encourage you to keep your own backups.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't use our website or apps for anything unlawful, try to break, disrupt or reverse-engineer them, or use them in a way that breaks Apple's or Google's platform rules.

7. Our content

The BlueLanternStudio name, logo, artwork, text and code are ours or used with permission. Please don't copy or reuse them without our written permission.

8. Third-party services and links

Our website and apps may link to or rely on third-party services, such as app stores and payment processors. We aren't responsible for those services or their outages.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Our website and apps are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise they will be error-free or always available.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlueLanternStudio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or apps. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be limited under the laws where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new Terms.

12. Termination

You can stop using our website or apps at any time. We may restrict access to anyone who misuses them.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
